About Us

Shri Devi Nrithyaradhana Kalakendra ® (SDNK), which promotes Indian art forms, has been creating awareness on Bharata Nrithya since 2006. The organization has taught Bharatanatya to hundreds of students and has been helping in shaping their life by making them aware of Indian ethos.

The SDNK opened its centers in small towns to encourage talented children by teaching them the art form and to bring them into the mainstream. The SDNK, through its centers in places such as Puttur, B.C. Road, Panemangalore, Bantwal and Vamadapadavu, has made it possible for even students from smaller towns and rural areas to learn the dance form. The Kalakendra, under the able guidance of its founder and director Guru Vidhushi Rohini Uday, has over the years given performances at various places across Karnataka and at many venues in the country.

Kalakendra has been training students to excel with flying colours in the annual Bharatanatya Junior, Senior and Vidwath exams conducted by Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board.
